Vivaldi Park High 1 Alpensia Yongpyong
Location ★★★★★ ★★☆☆☆ ★★★☆☆ ★★★☆☆
Accommodation ★★★☆☆ ★★★☆☆ ★★★★★ ★★★★★
Resort facilities ★★★★☆ ★★★★☆ ★★★☆☆ ★★★★☆
Ski slopes ★★★☆☆ ★★★★★ ★★★★☆ ★★★★★

We personally liked Vivaldi Park for its proximity and indoor facilities, Alpensia for the nice rooms and the atmosphere of Alps. We liked Yonpyong for the variety of slopes and High 1 for the feeling of being in a secluded resort town with many slopes, few people and the casino.

Vivaldi Park

★★★★★

Only 1.5 hour away from central Seoul

Proximity to Seoul means convenient and cheap travel options available, but also means more visitors. Weekends are especially highly populated with skiers that there will be long queues everywhere.

High 1 Resort

★★☆☆☆

3.5-4 hours from Seoul, the road is narrow and curvy, got a little car sick. Far away from Seoul so not as many skiers, but the area gets lots of casino visitors.

Alpensia Resort

★★★☆☆

3-3.5 hours from Seoul, but mostly on a straight, non-curvy high way so it’s not too bad.

Yongpyong Resort

★★★☆☆

3-3.5 hours from Seoul, but mostly on a straight, non-curvy high way so it’s not too bad.
